Getting started
- Install Phone Clover from the HighLevel Marketplace Install Phone Clover on your HighLevel agency or sub-account, connect it with OAuth, and sign reps in through SSO.
- Connect your Telnyx account Paste your Telnyx API key and public key into Phone Clover so your numbers, calls and texts run on your own Telnyx account, billed by Telnyx directly.
- Set up your first number Bring an existing Telnyx number into Phone Clover, set it as your default, and choose who calls go to.
- Turn on desktop notifications for ringing calls Get a browser notification when a call rings in, so you don't miss it while working in another tab.
- Pick a theme for the phone Choose Default, Light mint, Dark mint or Black for the Phone Clover phone. It's a personal setting saved in your browser.
Texting
- Turn on Telnyx as your native SMS provider Register Phone Clover as your HighLevel Conversation Provider for SMS so texts from Conversations travel over Telnyx.
- Send a text from Conversations Texting from HighLevel's Conversations screen works as usual once Phone Clover is your SMS provider, with delivery detail Phone Clover adds behind the scenes.
- Send SMS from a workflow HighLevel workflow Send SMS steps route through your Telnyx number automatically once Phone Clover is your SMS provider.
- Send bulk SMS Texting a segment or list at once works through your Telnyx number once Phone Clover is your SMS provider, with carrier limits to plan around.
- SMS in the GHL mobile app Texting works from the HighLevel mobile app on your Telnyx number. Calling does not; forward calls to your mobile phone instead.
- Text from your existing business number without porting Use the Hosted SMS wizard to turn on texting for a landline or VoIP number you already own, while calls stay with your current provider.
- Buy an international number Search, purchase and connect a Telnyx number in another country directly from Phone Clover settings.
Calling
- The Phone Clover browser softphone, overview How calling works in Phone Clover, the floating widget on every GHL page and the full Phone page, both in your desktop browser.
- Call from the contact header Use the "Call with Telnyx" button next to HighLevel's own call icon to start a call from an open conversation.
- Click-to-call in the Contacts grid Click any phone icon in HighLevel's Contacts list or a contact's detail page to dial that number with Phone Clover.
- Click-to-call on Opportunities Call a contact straight from their card on an Opportunities/pipeline board, the same way click-to-call works in Contacts.
- Recents, Keypad, and Lists on the Phone page What each tab on Phone Clover's full Phone page does, Recents, Contacts, Keypad, and Lists, and how the bottom bar works.
- In-call controls What each button does during a live Phone Clover call, mute, hold, keypad, note, contact, text, and hang up.
- The caller card What Phone Clover shows you about an inbound caller while the phone rings or during the call, including name, tags, and notes.
- Forward calls to your mobile phone Send incoming calls to your cell phone when nobody is available in the browser, while callers still see your business number.
- Voicemail setup Turn on voicemail for a Phone Clover number, and how voicemails get logged back to HighLevel.
- Automatic voicemail detection for calling lists An opt-in Telnyx feature that tells your calling list a call was answered by a machine, not a person.
Routing & availability
- Round-robin call routing Ring one rep at a time, in rotation, instead of ringing everyone at once, for calls to your default number.
- Ring-all call routing The default way Phone Clover handles an inbound call, ring every available rep at the same time.
- Business hours Set when your default number rings your team, and what callers get outside that window.
- Available and Away status Mark yourself Away so incoming calls skip you, and how Phone Clover tells who is actually reachable right now.
- Missed-call text-back Automatically send a text after an unanswered inbound call, so a missed call is never a dead end.
Calling lists & follow-up
- Start a calling list from a tag Dial every contact with a given tag automatically, one after another, from the Lists tab or the dashboard.
- Start a calling list from selected contacts Tick contacts in HighLevel's own Contacts grid and dial them one after another with Phone Clover's power dialer.
- DND and calling-hours checks What Phone Clover checks before every call in a calling list, and why a contact might get skipped mid-list.
- Record a post-call outcome Every call ends with a "How did it go?" card. Here is what each outcome does and when it is required.
- Set up custom outcomes with tags and follow-up tasks Add your own outcome tiles that apply a tag and create a HighLevel task automatically when a rep picks them.
- Work the "to call back" list The dashboard's list of missed calls nobody has followed up on yet, capped at 20 rows.
Reporting
- Read the dashboard metrics The stat tiles, periods and call log that make up the Phone Clover dashboard on the full Phone page.
- Filter the call log Narrow the dashboard's call log by direction, outcome or rep, and expand a row to see recording and AI summary.
- Export the call log to CSV Download the currently filtered call log as a spreadsheet, capped at 1000 rows.
- Read the "By rep" table See calls, answered, missed and average talk time per rep, counted per-leg before ring-all collapses to one call.
- Check team presence on the dashboard See who is available, away or offline right now, pulled from the same presence data that drives call routing.
- Call a tag from the dashboard Start the same tag-based calling list from the dashboard's "Call a tag" card, without switching to the Lists tab.
Deliverability & compliance
- Register for A2P 10DLC Register your business for US text messaging (A2P 10DLC) from inside Phone Clover, so your texts stop getting filtered by carriers.
- Number health radar See which of your numbers carriers are flagging for spam, and optionally move texting to a healthy number automatically.
- SMS firewall: block and allow lists Stop junk texts before they reach HighLevel Conversations, with allow lists, block lists, a country allowlist, and automatic filtering rules.
- Why texts fail and what the reasons mean Read the plain-English category behind a failed text, and turn on automatic retry or a landline pre-check.
- Call recording settings Turn on call recording, see which calls are recorded, and play back recordings from the dashboard.

Troubleshooting
- No incoming call popup Why a call rings without a rep seeing the incoming call card or a desktop notification, and how to fix it.
- What the settings health badges mean Read the Phone health badges and Needs attention card on the Overview tab, and know what to fix for each one.
- SMS not sending Tell apart an inbound firewall block from an outbound delivery failure, and read the exact reason a text did not go out.
- Calls not logging to timeline Why a completed call might be missing from a contact's timeline, or logged as a call but missing its note.
- Microphone permission When the browser asks for microphone access, what the error messages mean, and how to fix a blocked microphone.
